Quick Buttercream Frosting

While good store-bought gluten free frosting is available, try this yummy homemade version of vanilla buttercream instead. With only a few pantry staples needed to make it, you can have those cupcakes decorated in less time that it takes to run to the store.

Quick Buttercream Frosting

Serves: will frost a dozen regular size cupcakes or 24 mini cupcakes | Prep Time: 6-7 min | Cook Time: 0 min

 

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks unsalted regular or df butter, room temperature
  • 3 c Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp heavy cream


Instructions

BlendIn the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the butter and powdered sugar and beat until well incorporated, first on low speed, then increase speed to medium-high and mix for three minutes.

 

Scrape down the sides of the bowl then add the vanilla and heavy cream, beating the mixture of an additional three minutes.

 

Add 1 tsp additional heavy cream to reach your desired consistency.

 

Spread or pipe onto your cakes. Enjoy!
