Yes, you can substitute the yellow-box commercial brand with Better Batter Pancake Mix! Use this mix cup-for-cup in any recipe that calls for pancake & biscuit mix, including impossible pies! Each cup of mix makes about two 4 inch pancakes.  Now made without canola oil or sulfites!

Baking Instructions for Light and Fluffy Pancakes

Servings 8| Prep Time 10 min | Cook Time 7 min 

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups Mix

  • 1 1/2 - 2 cups Water

  • 2 Eggs (optional)

  • 2 tbsp Melted Regular or DF Butter

  • Up to 1 tsp spices of choice and/or up to ¼ c of mix-ins (like blueberries)

 

INSTRUCTIONS

PREHEAT a well-greased griddle to 375F

PLACE wet ingredients into a large mixing bowl & beat until smooth

PLACE dry mix on top of wet mix & stir until just combined. Batter should have pea-sized lumps of mix. If you'd like to add spices or mix-ins, add them now.

POUR batter by 1/4 cup increments onto prepared griddle & allow to cook until edges are dry and small bubbles have popped on surface of pancakes. Flip & cook until the second side is golden. Cooking time & total yield will vary depending on the size and thickness of pancakes.

REPEAT process until all batter is used.
